Why I Am Not Buying the New Nexus 5x Or 6P

NEXUS 5X

The Nexus 5X and 6P are some of the newest midrange and high end phones to be launched right now.  They both will be running android 6.0 right out the box.  We know this year that Google spent a lot of time on bringing these two phones some great quality cameras and great fingerprint scanners.  Thats pretty good and makes them now some competitors towards the other OEMS.  But, dont get me wrong, as of now, they are running the latest processors and memory and both come with USB Type-C. They also are now compatible with Google's Wireless Service,Project Fi.  You can also get a protection plan as well with the two phones and $50 of Google Play Credit.   But, is this really good enough for new users or just Nexus fanboys and Android fanboys alike? For those of you using a iPhone 6s and 6S Plus or Galaxy S6 Edge Plus or Note 5 and G4 user, is this a better upgrade to you?  To me, this isn't really much of an upgrade compared to what I have right now.  Here is why I won't be buying the new Nexus phones anytime soon.

Moto G 2015

In July, Motorola had launched their latest gen of the Moto G and the Moto X.  Moto G and the new Moto X came with a lot fire power at launch.  They both are customizable using the Moto Maker. You can engrave them, swap back covers, emerge them into water for over 30 minutes, front facing speakers, great selfie cameras in the front and great quality in the rear as well.  Both will include a Micro SD card slot that you can hold up to 200GB if you know how to format the cards.  You also can use OTG USB which means on the go memory as well.  Not only all of this, but you even have the choice to choose which 4 major carriers you want to be on a plan with. So pick and choose wisely.  Moto G and X both have stock Andorid and the latest Android versions.  So you dont have to worry about OEMs and their apps and wallpapers taking over the screens and storage.  Lets just be honest, who wants bloatware anymore?  With the Moto G, for causual use, you really can't go wrong.  Also the battery life is wonderful! No complaints about that at all. You also get some neat features as well such as the Moto Assistant and the Moto display and the Moto guestures such as flicking your wrist to open camera and karrate chop to turn on Flash Light.  Now the cons are that it doesnt have NFC, wireless charging and no fingerprint scanner.  But for $150-$200, are you willing to sacrafice the few things that matter today?  Let me know your thoughts.

Google Nexus 6

The Google Nexus 6 has been around for an year now almost it seems.  Do you feel it still lives up to its height?  Now, we all people hate the size of this phone.  We know that.  But, for me as a person that came from a LG G Flex which had a 6 inch curved screen and a 720p display, to me it was still a better upgrade to go with the Nexus 6. Got more RAM usage and memory, a better resolution of 2K! The latest updates from the Android OS.  The Nexus 6 has a better camera and no bloatware, a little smaller batter by 180 Mah.  My Nexus 6 is unlocked for switching to carrier I want based on bands and everything else.  It overall was the better choice at the time.  Even now it still is a better choice to me over the new Nexus 6P.  I have wireless charging and NFC with the Nexus 6. Not only that but I still will be getting Android 6.0 before everyone else and possibly before the new Nexus buyers get the Nexus 6P in hands.  Due a month long pre order shipment.  With the Nexus 6 I also am using the Google Wireless service called "Project Fi".  I can be on Wifi in the house one minute, then heading out on an adventure the next minute and still being able to stay connected thanks to Fi Network being able to switch between T-Mobile's towers and Sprint's towers and identifying Wifi hotspots around in the area.  Sure, it doesn't have the greatest processors or benchmarks and all that stuff in between, but it is still a beast even today as we speak.  No, it doesn't have USB Type-C or a fingerprint scanner.  But there are so many ways I can charge the Nexus 6 up now, thanks to Wireless charging built in and the Moto Turbo charger and the Project Fi 6000 Mah power bank that was including in the Project Fi Welcome Kit.  No, it doesn't have a micro SD card slot.  But you can use the Google Drive Cloud which offers 15GB of storage for free and you can use the app on the phone already because it included.  I also can use OTG USB with just a few minor adjustments by downloading a app or 2 which wont kill my ram or storage and connect my 500GB portable hard drive or my 16GB SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick.  So memory isn't a issue for me at all.  Not only that but you can now pick the Nexus 6 up for only $299 on eBay brand new.

CONCLUSION

In the end, it is really up to you all what you want and need. What are you all willing to give up or not give up to have the most satisifaction out of your smartphone? Is it the screen size, is it the battery life, how about the specs, what about the price range?  There is so many things that one has to consider today when purchasing a new phone. Not only that but which carriers are they compatiable on as well also should play a role.  Well, that sums this all up.  So what phone do you own and why and will you be purchasing the new Nexus or Moto or LG or iPhone or Samsung?

                                                                      NEXUS 5X

Tomorrow, Google is suppose unveil the newest and latest Nexus phones.  But, for the past several weeks, there have been hundreds of leaks and images and renders of both LG Nexus 5X and Hauwei Nexus 6P.  They both seem to be living up to what the Nexus phone lines are to be.  But, right now we are going to look at the LG Nexus 5X and what it should bring to the table.

NEXUS 5X

The Nexus 5X will be the smaller one and cheaper one of the 2. From reports and rumors, this phone is to come with a 5.2 inch 1080p display with front facing speakers.  It will showcase about 3 different colors and cost roughly under $399.  The front facing camera is to be 5MP and the back rear camera to come with 12.3 MP.  The RAM is rumored at 2GB or 3GB of RAM, which means it might vary per which model you pick. Whether it a 16GB of ROM or 32GB model.  It will come with Android 6.0 right out the box.  Since it is the latest and newest beast, it will show the latest in software by Google.  The processor in this device will be running Qualcomm's SnapDragon 808.  The same processor that can be found in the LG G4 and the latest new Moto X Pure Edition 2015.  The phone will also come with USB Type-C port and charger.  The phone will also include quick charging.  The last rumor and speculation is that tomorrow this phone will be up for pre-orders and you will be able to purchase it right from the Google Store site.  The phone is also unlocked and off-contract, which means you buy the phone right out and you will be able to use this phone  with all 4 major carriers. So you are not stuck using the phone on one carrier. There are ways to unlock the phones regardless, but its just to buy it unlocked flat out without avoiding any warranties.

So based on the details shown above and what other rumors and things you may know now as this is being written.  Will this be your next phone?  Are you looking towards of purchasing the Nexus 6P? New Nexus Phones Are Coming Soon...

September 29 is approaching soon and we're certain that Google is holding a special event to reveal new products. A press invite has been sent out already, inviting the media to join the company for some "tasty treats and much s'more". That obviously means the Android Marshmallow will be previewed, new products will be unveiled, and probably some s'mores will be served.
In this upcoming event, we're expecting to see the new pair of Nexus phones, one from Huawei and another one from LG. We're guessing a new Chromecast too with Chromecast Audio or maybe some announcement about the Project Aura
So, Rumor has it that the two new phones will be called the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X from Huawei and LG, respectively. The 6P will be bigger with a 5.7-inch screen while the 5X will have a 5.2-inch display. We also heard these two might be ready for pre-order by October 13, complete with a fingerprint scanner, a laser focus system on the LG Nexus, and maybe biometric security to the recently rebranded Android Pay, ready to rival Apple Pay andSamsung Pay.
There also that Nexus Protect option sighted on Google Store. We're guessing it's a phone protection plan but I guess we'll just have to wait and see until the 29th of this month.

Not just only the Nexus line, but now Motorola has jumped on board with the whole pure Android.  You not find any skins or bloatware at all on this phone. No having carriers apps all over the phones and their branding.  This will also allow your phone to run faster and smoother.

This phone comes with endless entertainment with a massive 5.7 inch QHD display and it comes with front facing stereo speakers.  The Moto X Style also comes with a top notch 21MP camera that can keep up with the LG G4 and the Galaxy S6 phone cameras.  It also brings 4K video capture.  You can stay powered all day without having keep your phone charging on the computer or in an outlet  With the newer improved Motorola TurboPower charging, you can get up to 10 hours extra of battery life in just about 15 minutes.  Also another thing is that Motorola promises that the Moto X Style will get the latest updates much faster now and you can teach your phone how to work best for you.  Using the Moto Assist it can react to how you live. Why OnePlus 2 Might Fail As the Flagship Killer!

For the OnePlus 2, the HYPE was real! We now have seen hands-on about this device and what it can do and what it brings to the table. But, we also seen what it can not do and what deal breakers it lost and might cause it not to deliver on its promise as the Flagship Killer.  Although, some of its specs are up to par with the Galaxy S6, M9, G4, and the iPhone 6 Plus, it was missing out on some key features.  Last years's OnePlus One came with NFC.  This year's OnePlus 2 doesn't include it as of right now.  This is a major "Oh-no ".  NFC you will need it for one major function "Android Pay".  Android Pay will be Google's revamp of Google Wallet.  Which will allow you to make purchases with your Android smartphones at grocery stores, gas stations, department stores and so on.. Hopefully OnePlus makes a fix. If not, you are not going to want to purchase the phone.  Also another issue here is that this device won't come with a SD card slot. As we have recently seen Samsung make this move with the Galasy S6 and S6 Edge and possibly the Galaxy Note 5, OnePlus has also made sacrifice by not accepting SD card slots into their phones.  Your only choices this year with the OnePlus 2 are a 16GB internal and 64GB internal storage version of the phone.  These are you only choices. For goodness sake, why are companies still making 16GB internal storages on high-end smartphones? Even reports out are even saying that Apple's iPhone 6s is suppose to still bring a 16GB of internal memory to its flagships.  Once again, Why! But, these are besides the points. Also, OnePlus 2 is equipped with the SnapDragon 810, which is also in the HTC One M9.  This chip has been the talk of the year for its overheating madness.  No word yet on if this is going on in the OnePlus 2 right now. But, will keep a close eye on this as more updates and news continue to unfold. day-by-day.  OnePlus 2 also doesnt come with a removable battery as well.  To some, this can be a big deal.  But, once again I must reference to Samsung as this is becoming a infamous trend and it spreading like a wild-fire! With the 3,000 mah battery in the OnePlus 2 and a Snapdragon 810 chip, better pray battery life isn't a pain as this phone isn't equipped with a quick charger! What in the world OnePlus? What are you doing to your consumers!   One more thing! The OnePlus 2 doesn't have is the Wireless Charging! No Wireless Charging at all is discovered here guys. You have to charge your device up using the USB Type C. Which seems pretty cool and nice and gamechanger.  But, there is another issue here.  It will take about up to 4 hours to charge your device up to 100%! Now, who wants to wait that long for their device to charge up?  Are you all not seeing the big picture here?  This should turn you all away from this device! Its really a NO BRAINER! The only thing that look attractive at this point is the price for the 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory on phone is its price tag @ $389.99! We will talk about that in another article. But, remember what all you are missing and losing out of.  This, my followers, and viewers, and readers is why the OnePlus 2 fails as being a "Flagship Killer".

Motorola Has the True Flagship Killers!

Motorola just possibly may have announced the best phones of the year! Yes, Moto Play, Moto Style, and the Moto G 2015 Edition all look freaking amazing! They cost a third or 2 as some of the other flagship devices that are already out! None of these phones will even cost over $300-$400! Not to mention, they are all off contract! These phones are unlocked as well, so you can go to any major carrier with them.  The cameras on these phones are by far some of the better ones other than the iPhone 6, Galaxy S6, and LG G4.  Plus you can customize them with the Moto Maker on Motorola's website.  You also will have one of the best assistance on your phone other than Google Now, which is the Moto Assistance. Based on the conference video, she seems to be more accurate than previous versions of her. You also get water resistance with the Moto G now because Motorola understands that accidents happen.  They will all come micro SD card slots and will be able to insert 128GB of extra memory plus the internal memory.  They will also come with Turbo chargers for longer battery life.  They will also have NFC as well (Unlike OnePlus Two, cough).  The displays will range from 5-5.7"inch FHD displays! The RAMs will vary between 1-3GB, depends on which models you choose.  Either way, with that Motorola has announced today alone, Apple, Samsung, LG, and HTC now have their hands full! To be all honest, there should be no reason that Motorola fails this year. They now have the unbeatable phones! To OnePlus, I say the Moto Play, Style and Moto G 2015 are all the flagship killers! Moto G, X Style, and X Play all come with stock android and NO BLOATWARE!!!! The X Style and X Play come with Moto Turbo chargers which are faster than the Galaxy S6 chargers.  But for the rest of my viewers and readers, if you would like to check out the specs on the new  moto phones, head on over to the official Motorola website. The link is below.

Qualcomm Snapdragon new images with LG G Flex 2?

Qualcomm released this image of what it seems to be advertising what could come in the up coming week at #CES2015 and for Intel. Also, if you look closely, it seems that this image shows of what seems to back casing of a smartphone.  From the looks of it, this could be a LG device (LG G4 or G Flex 2). Now the past year or so, we have seen LG move the buttons to back of their phones such as the G2, G Flex, and G3.  Now we also know that LG G Flex 2 will be a front runner at #CES as well. So with that being said, maybe putting two and two together and just say that the new processor from Qualcomm will be demoed in the new LG G Flex 2.  So base on the image above, what do you think that Qualcomm and Intel has in store for us @CES? All comments are welcomed.
